Some Information on rubrics

September 6, 2008

Thank you so much to Ariana and Zenaida who gave us a dynamite presentation on using and creating rubrics for writing at our September 6th meeting. Inside the presentation youwill find the rubric for portfolios that Zenaida uses in her classes. You can access their work here.final-copy-of-rubric-presentation-mwwp

To my fellow bloggers & InstituteMates:
Thank you for your response and interest today during our informal presentation on rubrics. I feel as if I didn’t allow you to respond and participate as much as I had intended and desired. I really wanted the presentation to be interactive followed by a hand-on workshop on using the same rubric to rate the same memoir. I apologize for compacting the curriculum and maybe cutting you off. It’s not my style. I wanted to make sure that Zenaida had a chance to demonstrate her section on how to create a rubric. Perhaps, on another occasion, we can discuss the rest.
For those that weren’t there, I have a copy of the rubric for a memoir and a student sample of a memoir for you.
See you at the next meeting or blog your responses for all to read:
