Teacher workshop-Taller para maestros el 8 de noviembre
October 6, 2008
MayaWest Writing Project will hold its first teacher workshop on November 8th 2009. The purpose of this workshop is to introduce teachers to the MayaWest Writing Project and what it does. We will discuss why writing matters and why it should be taught in our schools. Teacher consultants who went through the MayaWest Intensive Summer Institute will offer demonstration lessons on ways that they have introduced and taught writing successfully in their classrooms. There will be presentations for elementary, intermediate and secondary teachers and will be offered in Spanish and English. See attached flyer mwwp-flyer-revised
Registration is done on-line or the $20 can be paid though recaudaciones. The payment window is open from 8 to 11AM and 1 to 4PM. Any questions regarding the workshop can be sent to nwwp@uprm.edu

I already prepared a blog here but I don’t know how to link it here. Look for The Voice of a Glamorous Warrior, here in WordPress.com.
I will send the plan as soon as I can.
I’m also forwarding the email from the Workshop to other teachers.
Hope that everybody is O.K.!
Love,
Prof. Janice M. Irizarry

I am getting ready for the teacher’s workshop. It is very difficult getting teachers to commit.
I am working on this.
See you soon, Angie
